There are a number of special events which are unique to specific places in the USA. The longest running Fourth of July event started in 1785 and continues to this day in Bristol, Rhode Island. This New England state holds a very notable parade. On Coney Island, New York, there is an annual hot dog eating contest sponsored by Nathan’s hot dogs.

🎉 Bristol’s Fourth of July Celebration Parade – July 5, 2021
The Fourth of July Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.
Hope Street (Rt. 114) will be closed off beginning at 8:00 a.m., including Poppasquash Road.
Beginning at 7:00 a.m., Chestnut Street, Naomi Street and Sherry Avenue will be closed to traffic. A parking ban along the parade route goes into effect the night before the parade.

🧨 2021 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular
The 2021 Boston Pops July 4th Spectacular will take place at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. Keith Lockhart will lead a live televised and live streamed performance of patriotic favorites, with special appearances by Jon Batiste, bandleader of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and legendary singer Mavis Staples. The fireworks finale—to take place from the Boston Common in partnership with the City of Boston—will also be broadcast as part of the live televised broadcast.

🌭 The 2021 Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest- July 7th, 2021
The 2021 Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog-Eating Contest will take place before a live audience in Coney Island on Sunday, July 4, 2021, starting at 11 am. Last year, due to the pandemic, the contest was held for media only in a private location.

🎧 A Capitol Fourth 2021
In 2021, America’s Independence Day celebration, A Capitol Fourth, will mark 41 years on the air. The show is broadcast to millions of viewers on PBS and streaming platforms as well as to our troops watching around the world on the American Forces Network.
A Capitol Fourth on PBS premieres July 4. Most stations air the Concert at 8:00 p.m. ET / 7:00 p.m. CT and repeat the program at 9:30 p.m. ET.
